President – Corrine McIsaac MEd, BScN, RN
Corrine is the President and CEO of Health Outcomes Worldwide, a company dedicated to the measurement and improvement of outcomes across the health care continuum. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Education degrees from St. Francis Xavier University. Corrine is currently enrolled in a PhD program at Dalhousie University specializing in outcome measurement.
Corrine has over 25 years of experience in the health sector. She has a wide variety of clinical expertise including roles in frontline nursing, nursing education, clinical consultation, and management. Her clinical expertise is in the areas of critical care, emergency care, community nursing and outcome measurement. Her academic research has focused on outcome measurement and evaluation.
She has published her work in Ostomy and Wound Management as well as Wounds. She was invited as the only Canadian contributor to a special November 2007 edition on Outcomes for Wounds. Corrine has been the recipient of several honours including The Young Investigator’s Award, presented in 2005 at the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care in San Diego, California. Her abstract, Managing Wound Care Outcomes, won second prize at this symposium. She was the primary author and assisted in the implementation of the Evidence Based Wound Management Protocol which was adapted as a standard of care by the Government of Nova Scotia, Department of Health. Most recently, Corrine was presented with the Health Researcher Capacity Builder Award from The Cape Breton District Health Authority and Cape Breton University recognizing individual achievement and dedication to building capacity in health research.
Corrine has been invited and accepted to present her work at over 100 national and international conferences. She is a published author in peer-reviewed journals, white papers and a textbook.
Corrine is committed to helping other health care practitioners improve outcomes for clients in Canada. She is committed to lifelong learning and believes that the pursuit of knowledge is most rewarding when it is undertaken in an effort to improve the lives of others.
