Virginia is a Registered Nurse and Canadian Nurses Associated Certified Enterostomal Therapist with an extensive background in Nursing practice, policy development and nursing education. Virginia has a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s of Public Administration in Health Policy and has lectured extensively across Canada and internationally on wound, ostomy and continence, supporting patients, clinicians and the medical device industry.
Her background includes staff nurse in all sectors, nurse manager in long term care and clinical educator at the college and university levels. Her experience in business includes manager for professional development for a major medical device company including customer and sales staff training, support and marketing. She also hold the role as the Director of the Canadian Association for Enterostomal Therapy Nursing (CAET) Education Program an online certificate program for graduate nurses entering the Enterostomal Therapy Nursing profession and the CAET Knowledge to Practice series.
Her private consulting business includes Legal Nurse Consulting, outcomes measurement, educational program development and community Enterostomal Therapy Nursing
