In 2003, we completed our first ever wound care prevalence study and began to conduct regular audits of our activities related to wound care. Based on the analysis HOW provided us, we have been able to make major changes to our program. These changes have generated an increase in client outcomes, a decrease in length of stay on Home Care service for wound care and a decrease in costs related to wound care supplies and human resources.
