James has been active in developing web-based software solutions for 14 years. He has a customer-centric approach to design and development and a passion for technological innovation that has resulted in the development of leading-edge solutions for both large and small businesses.
As the founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of IntelliResponse Inc., James developed an award winning Web self-service solution that greatly reduces email support and call centre costs by providing instant answers to natural language questions. IntelliResponse is offered as a business class Software as a Service (SaaS) solution and is used by commercial and higher education customers around the world, including fortune 500 companies like RBC Royal Bank, Scotiabank, CIBC, BMO and many others.
James enjoys working closely with customers to help them meet their research and development needs with respect to technology. Prior to joining the HOW team, James worked with the Government of BC to design and develop an interconnectivity solution between Ministry and 3rd party case management systems that allows for information exchange between case workers at different organizations across the province. This solution was nominated for a Government technology award.
James has a Hons BASc Eng degree from the University of Waterloo.
